h) CQI Award motivates your organization to implement best practices and drive better patient outcomes. Patient safety – great innovative ideas, many saving ideas and especially employee satisfaction. Kathleen Coyne

k) Maybe start a “Quality Roundtable” to share best practices between companies once a quarter

Thanks Shelia for having us at your conference. We had a very nice time.

From listening to your winners, you have some companies who should go to the next level. I know that at Texas we have training programs geared towards getting organizations to go to the next level. Sometimes they are just scared of the time and resources involved.

Also have you though about sending a survey to all the past winners to find out:  1) Why they haven’t moved on to your next level; 2) What would it take for them to apply for your next level? 3) What support could you offer?

Thanks again! If any of your participants today would like to see our applications or presentations or have questions in general, please have them contact us at: baldrige@parkplacetexas.com, our Baldrige e-mail box.  Thanks again – Come see us in Texas, Kandi.

p)I would like the website to be easier to use. (Explain apps better)

Investigate web engines so that organization comes up under various searches.

Sheila Carmine is an excellent ambassador for this.

u) The CQIA inspires me to work harder and to join my co-workers to strive for excellence.

v) More “how-to’s”. Really like the “I can do that.” Exercise. We need more!  Robert Bessel COCC 860 674-7214

  1. Please write suggestions on the back that will be forward to the Consortium of University Professors to improve the 2007 CQIA Innovation Prize criteria. Thanks again.

                                                              i.      encourage human service providers to apply

ii.      as the awards become more competitive, maybe create categories; i.e., healthcare.

n)  Found the theme of the meeting a little ambiguous… innovation or quality or both.  Seems to be a mixture of innovative products and innovative approaches to product quality improvement. Perhaps structuring the agenda (maybe stratifying around products and product quality?

q)  It will help by networking and letting other agencies and companies understand needs of people with special needs.  It also was a great experience for me.  Thanks Sheila. Rose Dockter.

r)    Suggest include small business innovators to join the university CIP applications process

s)  Sheila – This will help recruitment of new blood! I say you are implementing my idea and even expanded on it with the site visits and we can recruit new companies to come to each venue.  This will help to increase participation next year and get more applications in.

Sheila – This was by far the best ever! Today was a great day… Thanks, I learned a lot and can put much toward my own department and dealer support! Great job!  Dan.

Sheila – Time became scarce, I know, but I still do want to help you build this thing for next year, add to our applications, and get more companies involved and excited! If you would like my help, please let me know.  Dan.
